Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the Metro Ai app ("the app"). By installing or using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
1. What the app does
The app plans metro journeys, shows fares and service hours, estimates your position during a trip from your phone's sensors, and sounds alarms before your stop or when your train seems to be heading the wrong way. It is free and has no account or advertising.
2. Not affiliated with any metro operator
The app is independent. It is not made, endorsed or supported by any metro operator, transport authority or government, including DMRC, NMRC, BMRCL, MMRDA, MMRC, CMRL, HMRL, Metro Railway Kolkata, MahaMetro, KMRL, GMRC, JMRC, UPMRC, MPMRCL, PMRCL, NCRTC or CIDCO. Operator and line names are used only to describe the services the app covers.
3. Accuracy of information
- Station lists, timings, run times and fares come from public sources and may be out of date or wrong. Operators change fares, timetables and stations without notice.
- Fares shown are single-journey token or QR fares. Smart-card discounts, passes and concessions may differ. Where a fare is not known, the app says so.
- Station detection depends on your phone's sensors, battery settings and signal. Phone makers' power-saving features can stop tracking or delay alarms.
- The wrong-direction warning works only where GPS reaches the train (usually elevated and at-grade sections) and can be mistaken.
You can report a mistake at info@riseon.org.in. We fix confirmed errors in the next data update, but we cannot promise a time frame.
4. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, or that alarms will always sound.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including a missed stop, a missed connection, a wrong fare, lost time or travel costs. Because the app is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to ₹1,000 (one thousand rupees). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app in a way that breaks the law or metro rules, endangers you or others (for example, watching your phone while boarding or crossing platforms), or attempts to reverse-engineer the app to misuse it. Follow each operator's rules on phone use, safety and ticketing.
7. Intellectual property and data licences
The app's code, design and artwork belong to RiseOn. Network data includes material from:
- © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL) 1.0. See openstreetmap.org/copyright.
- Wikipedia contributors, under CC BY-SA 4.0.

- Fare charts and timings published by the metro operators.
These credits also appear in the app under Settings. If you need a copy of the station database derived from OpenStreetMap, write to info@riseon.org.in.
8. Privacy
The app keeps your data on your phone. See the Privacy Policy.
9. Updates and changes
We may update the app, its data and these terms. If the terms change in a way that matters to you, the new effective date appears above and the app links to the new version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. We may stop offering the app at any time.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
